Btec Level 3
Year 1 Subsidiary Diploma
Will see students working towards their subsidiary diploma in sport, they will study units such as, Principles of Anatomy and Physiology in Sport, The Physiology of Fitness, Assessing Risk in Sport and Fitness Testing for Sport and Exercise.
Year 2 Diploma
Will follow on from year one and enable the students to work towards their full diploma, where they will study units such as Sports Coaching, Sports Development and Practical Team Sports. Students that excel within their studies can be offered the Extended Diploma within this academic year, furthermore students will be guided through the UCAS process and given opportunities to visit Higher Educational Institutions around the UK.
Year 3 Extended Diploma
Students who qualify for a third year will extend their studies by undertaking additional units such as Sports Nutrition, Psychology for Sports Performance, Technical and Tactical Skills in Sport and The Athlete’s Lifestyle.
This is a two or three year sports and education programme for 16-18 year olds.
